This Two-day MS-5116: Configuring Windows Vista Mobile Computing and Applications instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to successfully configure Windows Vista applications and tools. It will provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure successful configuration of the IT Pro tools and productivity applications that ship with Windows Vista. Students will learn how to configure tools and applications from three main areas: maintenance and optimization tools, media applications, and productivity applications.

Course Objective

Intended Audience
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to successfully configure mobile computers and applications that run Windows Vista. It is intended for IT Professionals wishing to become technology specialists.
Prerequisites
- Completed 5115: Installing and Configuring the Windows Vista Operating System, or have equivalent knowledge and skills.
- Familiarity with PC hardware and devices.
- Basic TCP/IP knowledge.
- Basic Windows and Active Directory knowledge.
- Experience with mapping network file shares.
- Experience with running commands from a command window.
- Experience with reviewing BIOS settings.
- It is recommended, but not required, that students have completed First Look Clinic 5056 and Hands-on-Lab 5057.

- 2 days, Instructor-led classroom training (8:30am to 5:00pm)
