Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications (IIUC) v1.0 is an instructor led course that focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to implement Cisco VOIP Networks consisting of voice gateways. It also focuses on implementing Cisco Unified Communication 500 Series for Smalls Business, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express, and Cisco Unity Express in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Installation.

Objectives
After completing this IIUC training course, the student will be able to:
Explain the benefits and components of Cisco Unified Communications system - Describe how traditional telephony systems operate.
- Describe the basic operation, protocols, components involved in a VOIP call and configure a gateway to support these call.
- Implement Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express to support a single site.
- Install Cisco Unity Express, configure Cisco Unity Express Auto Attendant and troubleshoot Cisco Unity Express.
- Describe and implement the Cisco Smart Business Communications System using the Cisco Configuration Assist.

Prerequisites
- The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course include skills and knowledge equivalent to those learned in Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot a small network.
