In this five-day course taught by Alan Gardner, a 15 Year CCIE(x3) with 30 Years of Networking and Voice Experience. Students will learn how to effectively Troubleshoot Voice and Video Networks. Students start with effective communication skills for IT to User Support, and move on to Troubleshooting Methodologies and Change Management. Students then break down Voice and Video Troubleshooting from Layer 1 of the OSI model to Layer 7. Students perform Problem Identification and Troubleshooting on the following issues: Cables, IP Addressing, VLANs, Device Configuration, QOS, CODECS, Network, Switches, Routing, Firewall / SBC, Gateway, and Multicast. Students will learn to use built-in and 3rd party tools that will aid in Effective Troubleshooting.
